Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Controller, the Senior Accountant applies principles of accounting for timely and accurate analyses of financial information and preparation of financial reports. Schedules and reports prepared for all levels of Carney personnel, and independent auditors on the financial activities of Carney Personnel, Board members and independent auditors on the financial activities of Carney and its affiliated entities. Responsibilities/Functions: Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts and documenting business transactions for departments such as the Foundation (i.e. Fundraising, gift shop etc) .
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required. 3-5 years of experience in a medical setting preferred. Meditech experience is preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to work with and apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Strong analytical skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions and deal with variables in analyses.
