Job Description:

* Review the most technical of accounting issues
* Interview key executives
* Board presentations
* Serve as a technical advisor for certain accounting, auditing and industry specific issues
* Assist in the recruitment of highly talented professionals
* Identify accounting, auditing, and financial reporting deficiencies
* Review and analyze audit working papers, corporate books and records, and other financial and accounting documents
* Plan, lead, execute and report on operational, financial and third party audits, ensuring that the work performed is centered on the areas of most significant business risks, and provides adequate assurance.
* Ensure continual compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), including change management of documentation and planning/participation in testing of controls.
* Work with business process owners and external auditors to evaluate control deficiencies, establish issues and action plans, and monitor remediation on a timely basis.
* Apply quantitative methods and financial concepts to internal operating procedures.
* Develop audit reports within budgeted time/costs and conducts close out meetings.


Job Requirements:

* CPA - Active license
* 4 year degree in Accounting. Masters preferred
* At least 8 years of progressively responsible experience with a Big 4 public accounting firm in the audit of publicly traded companies. You must have experience with a Big 4, National or Large regional Accounting firm.
* Candidates at the Manager, Senior Manager or Director/Partner level are most qualified for this role
* Experience auditing publicly traded companies is required
* SEC reporting compliance experience is required
* Strong technical accounting experience
* Strong knowledge of US GAAP and PCAOB standards
* Exposure to International audits and/or IFRS is a huge plus
* Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Opportunities for this role exist in Tampa, Houston, Dallas, Detroit, Boston, Chicago, Atlanta, Charlotte, NY and Washington DC. Relocation expenses will be provided for well qualified candidates.
