Senior Financial Analyst

Job Description:

-Provide forecasting & budgeting support
-Assist with cost control and expense management initiatives
-Provide monthly departmental reporting
-Provide monthly input (by function) into the Executive Reporting Package
-Help departments manage the procurement process
-Act as liaison between departments and other key areas (A/P, G/L, Payroll, Purchasing, Legal)
-Participate in the month end closing process from a review perspective as well as make closing journal entries and reclasses (separate from Acct’s entries)
-Maintain Org Charts (with HR) for respective function
-Participate in Business groups’ departmental staff meetings
-Develop intimate working knowledge of functional area activities and issues
-Provide key business partner support to the departmental manager
-Provide in depth financial view of issues as they arise
-Train/educate operational managers in areas of finance as needed
-Help prioritize/resolve control/cost/business issues for the Dept. Manager
-Participate in related contract development and implementation
-Time Reporting/Labor Tracking/Utilization analysis

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
BS in Accounting or Finance, MBA preferred but not required. Minimum of 5-7 years experience in this or a similar role. Biotech/Pharma experience preferred but not required.

Knowledge/Skills Needed:
Advanced working knowledge of Oracle (or other similar databases) required. Advanced Excel modeling skills are required. Strong accounting knowledge-base required. Hyperion experience a plus but not mandatory. Business Partnering experience manadatory.
