Job Responsibilities
Manage operations of the entire tax group. Acts as a liaison between State Street Bank and the client and works with external audit firms and regulatory agencies. Responsible for training and development of staff. Responsible for assisting in development of department policies and procedures.
Responsible for monitoring changes in the Investment Company Act of 1940. Disseminate information to the tax group.
Responsible for identification of difficult issues and effective resolution. Responsible for tax disclosures contained in the audited financial statements. Performs work independently within scope of established guidelines and practices. Consults with Senior Director where clarification or exception to policy may be required.
Employee Specifications:
Equivalent to a B.S. degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field required. CPA, MST, or MBA is preferred.
Seven or more years of mutual fund compliance and mutual fund taxation experience required. Initiative, self-motivation and the ability to work independently. Computer proficient.
Demonstrated negotiation, managerial, and leadership skills.
Strong problem resolution and analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to train and develop staff.
