BA Position Job # 1790
Our client is seeking a business analyst experienced in trade processing, with sound knowledge of Fixed Income and Derivatives. The right candidate would be required to work within the technology department to perform detailed analysis of requirements, liaise with the Derivatives and Fixed Income business groups and external parties. The candidate will demonstrate experience in working with the front, middle and back office to define detailed requirements and working alongside the technical resources to build technical solutions.
Must be able to discuss business requirements in detail and exhibit a good understanding of financial products and business controls. The BA will own the relationship with the users and will include front office (trading and sales), market and credit risk, middle office, operations and other external third party system owners. The candidate will be equally at ease discussing business and technical issues, and will be able to lead solution discovery.
Responsibilities include:
• Clear, complete and accurate documentation of user requirements and functional specifications
• Running workshops to explain and walk through business requirements
• Definition and delivery of a test strategy, test plans and test scripts.
• Execute system functional testing.
• UAT support.
• Problem solving and responsibility for issue resolution.
• Training users and post production support staff.
• Working with Middle Office and Back Office systems owners in defining Middle Office and Back Office systems requirements.
• Defining system interface requirements to other external systems.
• Poentially liaising with external resources to determine business requirements.
Candidates must have at least 5 years BA experience with a Bachelors Degree in IT, finance or business.
Candidates must also have prior experience in the Financial Services Industry.
Candidates with basic knowledge of SQL are a plus.
