Description:

Position Summary:

 

Primary purpose of this position is to plan and manage the delivery of software projects and associated application technical support services in support of business objectives and ongoing operations.  This includes project planning, estimating, execution, control, implementation and ongoing support.  Individual will work closely with the functional business groups to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of systems solutions deployed in support of business goals and objectives.

 

This position will be responsible for application systems/project planning, estimating, tracking and management.  This includes working closely with the business functional areas, and external customers and vendors in defining systems/project priorities, scope, approach, resource requirements, timing deliverables and funding. 

 

As a member of the Project Management Office, the position will also be responsible for providing leadership and coaching on project management and software development standards and best practices, enforcing project standards and best practices and assisting other project managers as necessary. This position will be responsible for using Datango and other software to develop training material for projects and project management.

 

 

 

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

 

•     Bachelor's Degree

•     7 - 10 years experience managing complex enterprise software implementation projects

•     3 - 5 years experience managing SAP projects (or equivalent ERP system)

•     3 - 5 years managing/leading iterative development projects

•     3 - 5 years business analysis experience

•     3 - 5 years of coaching experience in a Project Management environment

•     Strong familiarity with software development life cycles including waterfall, ASAP and RUP.

•     Strong familiarity with project management standards and methodologies including PMI

•     25% travel

•     6 or more years direct project management experience managing software implementation projects

•     2 years experience managing projects following iterative development process such as Rational Unified Process or Agile.

•     3-5 years managing SAP Projects
