Summary:
The Research Associate II will perform a variety of activities related to project management, study design, data collection, analysis, and reporting of results for Pharmacoepidemiology studies at the Department of Population Medicine. These studies focus on assessing the safety of drugs and vaccines within defined populations. S/he will work with investigators and conduct literature searches, plan analyses, perform statistical programming, and contribute to the writing of reports and manuscripts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Relevant coursework and/or experience in conducting epidemiological evaluations
- 2 years of relevant experience in a research environment
- Knowledge of research methods specific to epidemiological and/or health policy studies
- Intermediate SAS programming skills, knowledge of simple regression techniques such as logistic regression
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Ability to analyze data and report data findings
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to act independently and with good judgment
- Sound knowledge of computer systems, including hardware/software communications, file formats, networks, database, and statistical software.
