Job Description:
Our Business Intelligence business unit is seeking experienced BI Practice Manager and BI Tech Leads to be directly responsible for successfully managing and directing BI service delivery and for assistance with driving continued growth of the practice. The successful candidates for our Practice Manager and Technical Lead positions will be primarily measured by customer satisfaction, on-time & on-budget delivery performance for assigned BI projects and BI team development.
Job responsibilities include:
Communication and coordination of all project activities with customer resources at all levels according to project requirements
Development & maintenance of BI project plans in complete coordination and acceptance of the client
Manage BI project budgets, revenue forecasts and performance metrics
Ensure ongoing focus on project goals, objectives and milestones including frequent communication with all assigned team members onsite, onshore and offshore
Thorough understanding of Oracle BI roadmap and architecture
Manage project teams through assigned Project Managers and/or be able to lead entire project team to successful conclusion of a project
Intervene directly to triage and escalation management programs which are
Development of detailed management and technical presentations
Lead client BI workshops, as appropriate
Development and maintenance of senior management contacts (director level and above) within client accounts
Account management and penetration working with Business Development staff
Support sales and business development efforts in pre-sales cycle, as needed
The successful candidate must be able to prove required BI experience & knowledge and be motivated to excel and be recognized. Extensive client interaction will be required.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
At least 2 years of experience in managing BI practice including project budgeting, management or technical leader of teams executing concurrent multi-project, multi-client BI projects
Minimum of (5) years of active, hands on experience with market leading, enterprise Business Intelligent products (Oracle OBI-EE, BI Applications, Cognos, Business Objects) with Oracle BI experience strongly preferred
A comprehensive understanding of relational and multi-dimensional databases (ROLAP, OLAP, MOLAP, OLAM), data warehouse, data model and distributed information access models is required
Minimum of (2) years of multi-dimensional data modeling experience is preferred
Minimum of (2) years of experience with ETL tool such as Informatica
Minimum of (3) full life cycle BI implementation experience with Siebel Analytics, OBI-EE, Oracle BI Applications
Prior BI consulting experience required
Must be able to work independently, solve problems and, as needed, direct activities of other technical staff
Excellent written, verbal communication skills, including experience in technical documentation and ability to communicate with senior business managers and executives
Travel to client site, primarily within local region
Ability to work collaboratively and cohesively in a team environmen
Desired Skills:
Strong preference will be given to candidates with Oracle BI and/or Siebel Analytics experience including OBI-EE and one or more BI Analytics/Applications (e.g. Financials, Supply Chain, Human Capital Management)
Working knowledge of BI for Oracle applications (E-Business Suite, Siebel)
Experience with ODI (Oracle Data Integrator), Essbase, and Data Warehousing is a big plus
