ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT MANAGER Wilmington, MA Office SUMMARY: This position will provide project management and technical support for environmental assessment and remediation projects. Responsibilities will include preparing work plans and cost proposals, developing plans to effectively and efficiently complete projects within budget and regulatory guidelines, scheduling and supervising technical support and subcontractor activities, writing and reviewing technical reports and correspondence. The successful candidate will have a B.S. in engineering, geology, environmental science, or related field and 10+ years of professional experience or a Master’s degree and 8+ years of experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Manage the scope, schedule, and budget of complex environmental projects related to site characterization, remediation, or optimization to meet client requirements. · Prepare work plans and cost proposals; schedule and supervise technical staff and subcontractors. · Serve as primary contact for client counterparts and interface with client representatives, government regulators, and other representatives. · Prepare technical presentations for meetings with regulators and community groups. · Provide engineering/scientific consultation and technical support, including writing and reviewing reports and correspondence. Conduct sales efforts in the environmental remediation and/or consulting practice, prepare for bidding opportunities, and develop proposals |
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or scientific field required with minimum of 10 years of professional experience or Master’s degree with a minimum of 8 years experience. Candidates should have experience providing strong technical direction/support for environmental projects (site characterization, remediation, and optimization). OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Candidates must have extremely strong written and oral communication skills, and must also be able to efficiently and effectively manage a work load consisting of numerous projects simultaneously and deliver timely and quality services that meet or exceed the client's expectations. Excellent communication, client interaction, organizational, and business development skills are required.
