We are looking for an experienced Program Manager to assist our client with the launch a new product/business. Key leadership roles were established earlier this year including leads of product strategy, technology, implementation and operational services, etc. The specific role we are looking to fill is a program manager to orchestrate the launch of this business. The role would be responsible for the overall program plans, budget, managing risks, issues, change control etc. for the efforts to launch the business. This role will help leadership ensure that activities align with objectives stated in their overall business plan. A key aspect of the role will be coordinating and integrating the efforts of all of the leads in the different domain areas (product, tech, implementation, operational readiness, sales/mkt readiness, etc.).
Responsibilities:
Manage complex technical programs including: program initiation, program control, client management, contract administration, staff management, business development, issue resolution, scope management and quality to the client
Approves the approach to business analysis and develops alternative options to achieve the result more efficiently
Creates a specific methodology, process, or best practice documents for clients
Familiar with all available work products and deliverables and understands the value of each
Has a solid understanding of the technical phases of system development
Shows an understanding of technology as a component of the solution, but not the sole solution
Maintains profit and loss responsibility for client engagements
Manages project budgets, including travel and expenses
Effectively tracks and communicates program burn rates and estimates to client management and Collaborative management
Ensures successful delivery of programs including meeting schedules, budgets and user specifications
Understands program margins and strikes the correct balance between program needs, cost impact with staffing, and career growth for collaborative staff
Ensures the planning, estimating, tracking and reporting functions for each program assigned
Defines and implements a client quality plan on a program and ensures the associated administrative reporting tasks being tracked.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 8+ years of I.T. consulting and/or related business experience
Managed complex technical programs including: Data Warehousing, Application Architecture, and/or Web Services
Extensive knowledge in any of the following industries: Pharmaceuticals, Financial Services, Retail/Distribution, Hospitality and/or Insurance
Strong written, verbal and presentation skills are a must
