General Summary of Position:     The College of Management (COM) at the University of Massachusetts Lowell is seeking a new faculty member in the field of Marketing to engage in mission-related teaching, research and service. The primary fields of specialization should be some combination of Marketing Research, Business to Business Marketing, E-Marketing, New Product Development, and marketing issues related to innovation and new venture creation.

The Management Department, which currently houses the Marketing group, is building faculty capacity at all levels to deepen its research productivity and build program offerings at the Master's and Bachelor's levels. He/she will have the opportunity to actively participate in 1) the ongoing development of the department and college, 2) recruitment of additional faculty, and 3) the creation of new academic programs such as our new undergraduate Entrepreneurship concentration, and Master of Science in Innovation and Technological Entrepreneurship graduate program.

The COM's mission, which is closely tied to the mission of the University, is to prepare students for professional business careers in a global environment while building industry partnerships that foster regional economic development through education, research and service activities.

The COM has over 1900 MBA and undergraduate students and is accredited by the AACSB-International. Classes are taught both in traditional classroom settings and over the Internet. Ample opportunities are available to become involved in mission-related research and instructional activities and develop productive partnerships with other units of the University. Faculty members regularly earn teaching load reductions for the publication of high quality research.

 The position is contingent upon funding. Salary is competitive.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):     REQUIRED:
-Earned doctorate in Marketing from an AACSB-accredited business school.
-Professional interests and evidence of ongoing scholarly publication in the fields of specialization identified above.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
-Demonstrated record of high quality teaching at the undergraduate and Master's degree levels.
-Commitment to develop and sustain an externally funded research program.
-Demonstrated ability working with a diverse student and faculty population.
-Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to speak and write English clearly.
-Industrial or corporate experience is highly desirable.
