The National Director of Conservation Teams oversees all aspects of program operations including risk management, staff hiring and development, budgeting ($12M), evaluation and reporting.  Key to the success of this position is the ability to lead the development of new SCA conservation team programs and partnerships throughout the United States.

Qualifications:

    * Bachelor’s degree plus significant additional coursework, seminars or similar activities or advanced degree
    * 8-10 years of progressively responsible experience including skills related to the position
    * Significant staff management experience with emphasis on geographically dispersed staff
    * Confident management skills including analysis, budgeting and organizational process improvement
    * Marketing and significant program management experience required
    * Solid and confident business skills including analysis, budgeting and process improvement.  Demonstrated ability to lead strategic/annual planning and budgeting process
    * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with all levels of staff within the organization
    * Must be able to effectively manage multiple projects concurrently
    * Strong working knowledge of MSOffice and familiarity and proven ability to work with information databases
    * Wilderness First Aid or responder certification preferred
    * Willingness to travel (30%); Valid driver’s license and MVR that meets SCA standards required
    * Ability to meet SCA’s criminal background check standards
    * Must be willing to support SCA’s mission and organizational values
