 The Applied Building Science Division (ABS) within CSG is responsible for training, quality assurance, and standards development both within the company to support our programs and outside the company for other clients and the general industry. With the growth of interest and funding for efficiency improvement, training has become a key aspect in the rapid expansion of a residential energy efficiency workforce.

CSG is seeking two trainers to help fill this need by delivering training in basic building science and weatherization skills. Qualified candidates will have extensive knowledge and experience with theoretical and practical aspects of building science, residential energy auditing, air sealing, insulation, combustion safety, and related home improvement practices. Experience delivering technical presentations is essential, and familiarity with PowerPoint is a plus. A self-motivated and goal-oriented individual with excellent people skills is desired. These positions will require regular travel throughout the US.

 Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:

• 
  
  Conduct classroom and in-field training for Building Performance Institute (BPI) certifications and CSG-developed technical materials
  
  


• Provide remote follow up technical assistance for trainees as needed


• Support local CSG staff for training related issues


• Participate in curriculum review and/or development

 Candidates must have:

• Minimum 2 years experience delivering relevant presentations or trainings


• Ability to communicate technical concepts to weatherization and home improvement contractors in both classroom and field settings


• Knowledge of integrated building science concepts and performance auditing and testing procedures. (Candidates with certifications from the Building Performance Institute (BPI) and RESNET are highly desired.)


• Excellent verbal communication skills


• Enthusiasm for energy conservation


• Proven ability to learn and process technical information from many different sources.


• Computer proficiency. (Experience with Windows based computers is critical, and familiarity with computerized building modeling software such as CSG's HomeCheck, REM/Rate, or similar is a strong plus.)


• Must be willing to travel to deliver training throughout the US.

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience

Compensation package includes paid holidays, 80% paid medical, 50% paid dental, paid life & AD&D and paid STD & LTD insurance coverage, plus employer matching retirement plan
