Position Responsibilities:
We are looking for a technical trainer with experience in networking and security to develop and deliver technical training to customers, partners and employees. You will be responsible for designing and delivering classroom training, labs and Web based sessions. You will also be involved with developing / updating courseware for new product launches, and may periodically develop customized training to meet client-specific needs.
- Possesses excellent curriculum development, communication, teaching and presentation skills
- Aware of modern training technologies and selects technologies appropriate to needs of users and training content
- Will quickly become proficient in all aspects of company’s products and applications regarding their functionality and associated technologies
- Will work effectively with Engineering, Customer Support, Account Management and Marketing to provide innovative and sound instructional solutions to ensure effective use of Enterasys products
- Has a passion for helping others learn and a commitment to serving as a strong product advocate
- The position will require some travel both national; and international
Requirements:
- Proven curriculum development/instructional design skills
- Instructional aptitude and mixture of strong technical and interpersonal client facing skills
- Exceptional presentation skills, strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Proven ability to quickly learn all aspects of technical software product
- Experience developing and delivering training for both security and networking products
- Highly organized to effectively handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment, yet flexible enough to respond quickly to critical issues
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and cross-organizationally
- Ability to travel to customer sites to deliver training
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Experience with signature and behavioral based IDS
- Experience with IPS and Firewalls
- Experience with Designing Security Polices
