Lead Electrical Engineer – Home Robots Division

Location: Bedford, MA
We seek an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer for our Home Robots Division. In this role, you will join us in creating electrical systems for the next generation of Home Robots. The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team developing microcontroller-based robotic platforms, with emphasis on sensors, motion control, portable power, and user interfaces.
Responsibilities:
- Applicants must have a proven track record of developing products for high-volume manufacturing and putting them into production. The position requires both excellent design skills and demonstrated technical leadership ability.
- Lead board level analysis, debugging, and testing, including documentation of test plans and results.
- Document designs, new and existing, according to company requirements.
- Lead system integration activities.
- Some travel to the Far East is required.
Job Requirements :
Requirements/Qualifications:
- BSEE required, advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years experience, including experience with high-volume/low-cost consumer product design and manufacturing experience.
- Training and/or experience in the following areas:
Ø Low-noise analog circuit design.
Ø Battery charger, switching power conversion, and motor driver circuit design.
Ø Microcontroller-based digital design
Ø High-volume/low-cost consumer product design and manufacturing experience.
Ø Design for EMC/ESD immunity
Ø Schematic entry and printed circuit board layout using EDA tools
- Familiarity with mobile robotic systems.
- Familiarity with PCAD or Altium Designer, MicroCAP or PSPICE, MATLAB is a plus.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel Visio, Project, Windchill is a plus.
