This is a regular full-time position.

Performs design tasks on subunits of larger projects or takes complete responsibility for assigned projects. Requires knowledge of engineering principles and concepts, an ability to understand the integration of designs and subunits within the overall project, and consistent application of acquired knowledge.

DUTIES:

Designs and analyzes electrical or electronic circuits or systems. Applies original and creative approaches to design tasks.

Plans, conducts and supervises engineering research, development or manufacturing engineering assignments, generally involving the larger and more important projects, or more than one project of major magnitude and scope.

Estimates engineering personnel needs.

Schedules work to meet completion dates and technical specifications.

Coordinates and supervises engineers and technicians assigned to projects.

Works out proposal and job estimates. Evaluates progress and results.

Recommends major changes in procedure or objectives.

Generally operates with considerable latitude for unreviewed action or decision.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

BSEE degree or equivalent and eight or more years of related experience.
