DescriptionSUMMARY OF POSITION:

Provide assistance to manufacturing in order to produce a quality product in a safe and efficient manner. This entails specifying and troubleshooting automation equipment supporting manufacturing operations. This position will also handle projects that include purchasing and installing automation projects consisting of new and existing assembly operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Optimize manufacturing processes.
2. Manage automation projects, new and existing.
3. Integrate existing production equipment into work cell formats.
4. Validate production equipment and software in order to comply with FDA regulations.
5. Prepare annual capital project budgets and track capital project spending monthly.
6. Support Manufacturing in solving quality and production problems.
7. Design assembly fixtures, equipment, and work areas and integrate sound safety and ergonomic features.
8. Analyze and advise on the selection and application of reliable integrated systems and components.
9. Interface and coordinate with equipment vendors and contractors during development, build, and installation of new automation equipment.
10. Coordinate and interface with Corporate R & D groups during the development, manufacture and introduction of new products.
11. Develop PM and troubleshooting procedures for equipment and processes.
12. Provide training and assistance to plant departments.
RequirementsEducation required/preferred: BS in Engineering
Experience: 3-5 years manufacturing experience.

Skills/Qualifications:
Automation troubleshooting and commissioning, 6 Sigma Certified

Automation and Equipment Integration. Proficient in PLC’s (Allen Bradley) and Robotics (Fanuc preferred).
Skills/Competencies: PLC troubleshooting and programming, robotic programming
