Senior Mechanical Engineer – Home Robots Division

Location: Bedford, MA

 

We seek an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer for our Home Robots Division. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic team, and contribute to the mechanical design and development of robotic systems, including analysis, validation, documentation, and manufacture.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

Lead the application of hardware design review procedure to subassembly design tasks, and suggest procedural improvements.

Lead design verification activities for the team, own project test processes, and lead cross-functional integration.

Conduct cost-benefit analyses to determine the optimal direction to meet the design requirements.

Mentor and direct more junior mechanical engineers; partition work activities as necessary.

Job Requirements :

Requirements/Qualifications:

 

BSME required; advanced degree preferred.

Minimum 5 years experience with advanced electro/mechanical product design, and manufacturing of complex interrelated systems, including 3+ years experience developing high volume consumer products.

Expert knowledge of injection molding and plastic part design.

Minimum 5 years experience with CAD, Pro/E preferred.

Experience with overseas manufacturing practices (China preferred), and communicating effectively with remotely located design and manufacturing partners.

Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Demonstrated ability to successfully accomplish aggressive goals.

Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and prioritization skills.
