This is a regular full-time position.

DUTIES:

Performs mechanical design tasks on subunits of larger projects or takes complete responsibility for assigned projects. Requires knowledge of engineering principles and concepts, an ability to understand the integration of designs and subunits within the overall project, and consistent application of acquired knowledge.

Designs, modifies and evaluates highly complex mechanical and electro-mechanical apparatus, components and processes. Applies original and creative approaches to design tasks.

Plans, conducts, and supervises engineering research, development, or manufacturing engineering assignments, generally involving the larger and more important projects, or more than one project of major magnitude and scope.

Schedules work to meet completion dates and technical specifications. Estimates engineering personnel needs. Coordinates and supervises engineers and technicians assigned to projects. Works out proposal and job estimates.

Evaluates progress and results. Recommends major changes in procedure or objectives. Generally operates with considerable latitude for unreviewed action or decision.

QUALIFICATIONS:
MSME degree or equivalent, plus ten years of related experience.
