Located in Merrimack, New Hampshire, DRS Codem Systems, Inc., is an industry leader in the design, development and production of products and systems for Communications Intelligence (COMINT), Spectrum Management, Satellite Communications and Tactical Military Networks. We operate on a 9/80 work schedule, all employees work 80 hrs in 9 days and have every other Friday off. Relocation Benefits will not apply to this position.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Develop and document system specifications, hardware selection, software requirements, interfaces and other technical specifications as required for successful design and implementation of advanced surveillance and intelligence collection systems
· Performs requirements flow-down to subsystem/system requirements and reviews operational analysis and test plans to assure integrated performance meets the customer´s specification
· Develops and analyzes tradeoff and alternative approaches to subsystem or system development problems to determine best approach for meeting technical requirements at minimum cost and consistent with delivery dates
· Act as technical liaison with the customer and develop/maintain customer confidence in our ability to design, develop and produce systems for collection and location of modern signals; take a leadership role in writing proposals and white papers
· Maintain current knowledge base of receiving and signal processing hardware that supports development of advanced collection systems for customer specific applications
· Prepares system test plans and procedures consistent with specification requirements mandated at the developmental, prototype, pre-production and production phases
Basic Qualifications
· BS degree in Electrical or Systems Engineering or related technical field
· 10+ years of experience in systems analysis and design
· Strong oral and written communications skills
· US citizenship is required. Applicant selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Additional Desirable Qualifications Skills and Knowledge
· Advanced degree in Electrical or Systems Engineering or related technical field.
· Demonstrated experience in advanced technology development for:
o Radio Direction Finding (DF) System Analayiss and Design
o Signal analysis, recording, and processing
o RF Propagation Theory
· Experience with DoDAF, familiar with TPM measurements.
· Demonstrated engineering management experience.
· Established track record as a technical leader and technical customer liaison.
· Current TS/SSBI.
