HR Generalist
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for designing, planning, implementing and /or performing a variety of HR activities. Specific areas of responsibilities may include HR policies and procedures, staffing, compensation, performance management, benefits, employee relations and training. Individuals considered for this position should be able to work independently with minimum supervision, relying on their extensive experience, accomplishments, education and good judgment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Consulting with management and/or employees on organizational and employee matters and recommending/implementing effective solutions.
* Developing, recommending, implementing and administering human resources' policies and procedures.
* May conduct benefits orientation for new employees. Provides counseling on employee benefits to promote better employee understanding and assists employees in resolving questions and problems related to benefits policies.
* Evaluating and analyzing salary compensation data, developing, recommending, implementing and administering the Company's compensation programs and performance management process.
* Reviews open requisitions for accuracy and completeness; analyzes position requirements and establishes recruitment priorities in conjunction with management.
* Prepares exempt and nonexempt job descriptions. Participates in the evaluation of positions and reviews requests for reevaluation of existing positions.
* Promptly post job openings on: DRS Intranet, DRS Website, and external job boards.
* Sourcing, screening, interviewing, checking references and recommending prospective employees for employment at all levels in the Company. May work with search firms or other placement agencies to develop and maintain a highly qualified candidate pool. Also responsible for negotiating and extending offers of employment to successful candidates.
* Assisting in the development, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the Company's diversity initiatives and affirmative action program, recommending solutions to improve the overall awareness and diversity of the Company.
* Interviews professional, technical or clerical employees. Prepares and makes offers of employment according to Company policy.
* Initiating, delivering or coordinating organizational development programs within the Company.
* Assist HR Director with specials projects as needed
* Performing other HR generalist responsibilities/tasks as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Must have five (5) years proven HR generalist experience.
* Must have three (3) years of recruiting/staffing experience with a working knowledge of a variety of staffing resources and techniques.
* Experience in job analysis, market pricing, compensation administration and performance management.
* Ability to interact effectively with staff, management, candidates, and vendors at all levels.
* Fully proficient in Microsoft office and human resources informational systems.
* BS degree in HR or a related field.
* Must have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, and enjoys a fast paced.
Other:
We operate on a 9/80 work schedule, all employees work 80 hours in 9 days and have every other Friday off.
