We are presently seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our team in Boston. In this position, you will be based at our region headquarters, and will provide Human Resources support to Hertz locations throughout New England.
As a key member of our management team, you will contribute to our success by ensuring business practices are aligned with Human Resources strategies, and by providing a high level of Human Resources support to team members throughout the organization. In this highly visible and influential role, you will: • Create an open and cooperative work environment by facilitating and promoting active and constructive communication at all levels of the organization. • Help maintain a positive employee and labor relations climate. • At our union locations, provide assistance with dispute resolution, contract interpretation, and collective bargaining. • Help maximize employee retention by identifying and addressing factors that contribute to employee turnover. • Facilitate the introduction of corporate procedures and programs. Develop and introduce local policies and practices. • Provide advice and counsel to management on matters related to Human Resources to ensure fairness, consistency, efficacy, and legal and regulatory compliance. • Contribute to the personal and professional growth of team members by assessing needs and ensuring the availability of training and developmental opportunities. • Analyze workforce-planning data and forecast staffing needs. Manage the staffing process to ensure positions are filled with qualified candidates. • Respond to employee questions and concerns.

Requirements
• University degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related discipline. Master's degree preferred. • 4-6 years of progressive Human Resources Generalist experience. • In-depth knowledge of US Employment Law. • Assertiveness, initiative, and a high energy level. • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment. • A commitment to continuous improvement. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong relationship-building skills. • Experience supporting a unionized workforce preferred.
