Taking a leading role in capital and risk management for John Hancock, the incumbent will have a key role in the asset liability management for U.S. businesses, risk reporting to each company's Board of Directors, and oversight of pricing standards on a local basis.
Additional responsibilities would also include reinsurance oversight for U.S. businesses, including review of new treaties and strategies as well as monitoring of inforce treaties.
FSA, FCIA or equivalent
At least 7-10 years experience in the financial services industry
Strong leadership capabilities applied within team settings and with individual contributors; ability to manage the work of others to achieve results under tight deadlines
Strong actuarial, technical, and communication skills
Knowledgeable of Canadian GAAP, US GAAP and US Statutory valuation standards
Ability to work effectively across various disciplines (Pricing, Valuation, Distribution, and Operations)
