The Nuclear QA Manager will be responsible for ensuring that GEI is in compliance with all aspects of the QA Program prescribed by 10 CFR Part 50 Appendix B, DOE Order 414.1C Quality Assurance, 10 CFR Part 830 Subpart A Quality Assurance requirements and with expected best industry practices.
GEI performs scientific and engineering activities to support the site characterization, permitting (COLA), and construction of nuclear power plants as well as design and construction support at existing plants.
Management of GEI 10 CFR Part 50 Appendix B QA Program.
Assess QA Program and communicate to GEI management.
Management of Nonconformance and Corrective Action Program, including root cause analysis, trend analysis, management of best practices, identification of improvement opportunities.
Review, approval and control of Quality documents as well as internal audits of GEI operations.
Surveillance of GEI and contracted project activities, and administration of Field Inspection Test Program.
QA Program training, QA review of technical procedures, and QA and review of procurement documents and records management.
Management of Approved Supplier and Vendor List, external audits of vendors and suppliers.
Maintenance of calibration program.
Experience with quality assurance programs with a strong preference for experience with 10 CFR Part 50 Appendix B/ASME NQA-1 Quality Assurance Programs.
5+ years experience in the Nuclear Industry.
Preference for a Bachelors degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, or related field.
Ability to understand, over time, the general aspects of GEI’s scientific and engineering capabilities.
Ability to meet the requirements for a Lead Auditor (NQA-1-2008, 2A-3).
Candidates will be required to travel to other GEI offices and field projects, must have strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills, and the ability to select and train staff.
