Position Summary


KMS is opening a brand new state of the art RO facility at our 37 acre Wilmington MA location and we need an experienced Quality Engineer to come in and hit the ground running. This position will:







  • Develop, maintain and continuously improve the company’s ISO 9001-2000 Quality Management System.



  • Provide on-site quality system support to all of the company’s manufacturing facilities.



  • Maintain the quality system documents, coordinate all required standard operating procedures, and serve as the principal contact for customer and third-party quality audits.



  • Review all customer complaints for the purpose of determining where the emphasis should be placed to prevent recurrence.



  • Manage the training of all company personnel in matters related to quality policies and procedures.



  • Ensure corrective action system is properly implemented and follow up actions are completed in a timely manner. Track and review corrective actions to ensure customer’s needs are met.



  • Provide support for the company’s documentation control program.



  • Manage and direct internal audits.



  • Participate in supplier evaluations, quality audits, and supporting supplier management activities.








 



 
Requirements





  • Demonstrate experience in leading and managing quality teams and programs including leading organizations through customer and standards organization audits.



  • Strong working knowledge of the ISO9001-2000 quality management system requirements with demonstrated experience implementing an ISO9001-2000 compliant quality system.



  • At least a BS degree with 8+ years in quality assurance management.



  • ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred.



  • Advanced understanding of statistical principles and applications with strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.



  • Strong team-building, employee involvement skills.



  • Good technical writing skills and the ability to convey complex technical information in an easily understood manner.



  • Good project management, organization and coordination skills.



  • Advanced PC skills with the ability to understand and learn customized computer software programs.



  • Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).



  • Proven success interacting with customers, peers, senior management and other functional areas to assure the best quality systems are in place and being adhered to.



  • Self-starter with a high degree of motivation.
