Position Summary:     Lead the development and execution of national retail marketing programs and brand platforms for CVS/pharmacy - from concept through campaign - by creating a pipeline of compelling customer offerings, evaluating customer appeal and forecasting ROI of each program, aligning the organization behind top concepts, and then overseeing marketing execution of each campaign. Many marketing programs will be integrated with the ExtraCare card – the largest loyalty program in the country with over 60 million active cardholders. Oversee marketing strategy and support for multi-cultural marketing and front-store merchandising categories of beauty, health care, photo, consumables, and store-brand products. The role involves management of several marketing managers and includes regular interaction with cross-functional teams, including Merchandising, Store Operations, Pharmacy Operations, Finance, Advertising, Promotion/Circular team, IS, Pharmacy Marketing, Account Services, Media, CVS.com, Customer Research, Customer Service, Creative team, CRM team, and Enterprise Marketing.
Job Description:    

    * Leadership and support for CVS/pharmacy marketing team.
    * Manage overall planning activities including strategic planning, operating planning, budget planning, and program initiatives.
    * Develop and support internal relationships with cross functional teams of Merchandising, Store Operations, Pharmacy Operations, Finance, Advertising, Promotion, IS, Pharmacy Marketing, Account Services, Media, CVS.com, Customer Research, Customer Service, Creative, Relationship Marketing, and Enterprise/PBM Marketing.
    * Develop and distribute marketing performance metrics for campaign and program measurement.
    * Manage all broadcast media strategy and work cross functionally to execute.
    * Evaluate incoming opportunities and make recommendations for participation .
    * Ensure that marketing programs come in on budget and meet ROI expectations.
    * Monitor and communicate program results and best practices to senior management.
    * Make recommendations to improve future marketing programs.
    * Travel to markets for program evaluation and meetings with field management.
    * Collaborate with cross-functional & external business partners to ensure timely execution of marketing programs and measurement of results.



Requirements:    

    * Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred.
    * Over 10 years marketing experience.
    * Leadership and general management skills.
    * Over 5 years direct management of marketing team or teams.
    * Experience in CRM and loyalty programs.
    * Strong understanding of marketing with particular emphasis on direct-to-consumer marketing, brand development, and retail marketing.
    * Ability to form liaisons and build cross-functional teams.
    * Strong analysis, testing and financial skills.
    * Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, including MS Office.
    * Strong analytical skills.
    * Strong project management skills.
    * Exceptional presentation skills, including extensive experience with Power Point.
    * Ability to travel as necessary.
