Job Description Implement, manage and execute targeted and innovative CI techniques to generate Competitor Insights and support franchise, therapeutic areas and brands in cost effec-tively and timely manner. Responsibilities: Generate Competitor insights. Proactively plan CI analysis based on a superior understanding of the research/analysis methodologies and their use at various stages of the ‘product life-cycle’. Apply and execute high quality analysis and recommendation to core franchise/brand processes: C4 MPH brand planning, C4 Align processes, DAS strategy, GBT pre launch preparation and launch process, pricing strategy and major strategic brand development decisions. Understand the information/knowledge needs of the brand/franchise team and pro actively drive analysis to deliver guidance, recommendations and CI insights to business/brand decisions. Apply C4 consumer centric focus by implementing state of art CI techniques, drive implementation of standardized analysis processes and research techniques. Drive and implement excellent communication/presentation to build relationships both within the brand/franchise team and at CPO level. Identify, assess, procure and refine new data sources that help to enhance the current NV&D base of vaccines market knowledge and information. Act as the SGM coordinator of off-shoring and outsourcing initiatives, including defining project parameters, vetting potential vendors, and overseeing project execution. Key Performance Indicators (Indicate how performance for this role will be measured) Brand Competitor insights Quality and impact of projects and guidance on business decisions and processes. Cost effective vendor and budget management Increased implementation and execution of standardised Marketing Science techniques and tools. Act as the functional business, competitive and strategic intelligence expert within Novartis Vaccines, helping to ensure CI data accuracy and integrity across franchises. § Acts as a resource to the MI&A franchise leads for ongoing CI tracking efforts (e.g., data validation, development of KIQs, etc.) Specific professional/technical expertise and experience required for the job: The ideal candidate will: • Demonstrate superior analytical skills • Be a highly experienced marketing/competitive intelligence professional, demonstrating expertise in the following functional areas: o Use of a wide range of secondary data sources o Development of market/sales forecasting models and techniques o Using and mining sophisticated competitive intelligence sources, tools, techniques, and databases. • Demonstrate the ability to analyze and synthesize data from multiple sources to bring added value and insight to business decisions. • Be able to independently recommend and develop creative customized/non-standard research solutions to more complex, multi- faceted business issues. Requirements: Minimum: University degree in bioscience or health science / MBA desirable • English: fluent in written and spoken • German desirable • 2-4 years of working experience as part of a brand/franchise team in a pharmaceutical environment • Keen analytical mind with superior problem solving skills, in depth knowledge and understanding of various marketing science methodologies • Proven ability to communicate, influence and perform at the brand and franchise in a cross-cultural, cross functional, matrix organisation
