Job Description:

Position


The VP of Marketing will oversee consumer/audience-facing and B2B/client-facing initiatives related to BzzAgent’s digital and social media marketing initiatives.


Responsibilities


Consumer / Audience


  1. Own the voice of Agent communications, ensuring a high-quality experience across all touch points. This includes:

    1. Site functionality, UI, and content oversight

    2. Management of all welcome, campaign-oriented e-mail and e-touches

    3. Alignment with our social media voice on Facebook, Twitter, other social networks, blogs, etc.


  2. Grow and activate our network of Agent audiences (US, UK, Canada and other international partnerships)

    1. Digital strategies and tactics to grow the Agent base via:

      1. Conversion of rapid increase in organic search

      2. Setting up partnerships to attract Agents-on-Demand as well as on a consistent basis




  1. Utilize our word-of-mouth expertise and Agent community to develop creative ideas and ‘linkages’ that will activate external social media audiences


B2B / Client


  1. Own the voice of the B2B/market communications for the business

    1. Development and ownership of sales collateral

    2. Optimization of outbound e-newsletters

    3. Leading and providing counsel to SEO resources

    4. Providing content and structure for B2B Web site


  2. Create value for our clients

    1. Optimization of our digital platforms (BzzScapes, Frogpond) to increase client reach and value

    2. Being a resource to the sales team for solution and creative strategy development 


  3. Own PR and communications strategy

    1. Proactive planning for press releases, marketplace activities, speaking engagements, etc.

    2. Manage inbound inquiries for press, trade, etc.

    3. Be a pro-active “voice” within digital and social media



 


Qualifications


Ideal candidates will demonstrate successful experience with the responsibilities detailed above, and will possess many if not all of the following important traits:



  • Experience and knowledge about social media

  • Well-versed in interactive technologies

  • Genuine interest in emerging media and use of the Internet

  • Conversant in digital technology and the social media landscape

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills

  • Personable and professional; active team contributor

  • Attention to detail in a fast paced, dynamic environment

  • Eagerness to learn in a fast-paced working environment

  • Ability to think in new and innovative ways, in a solutions-oriented setting


Education


Bachelor’s degree, with a concentration in marketing, media or related field preferred; relevant advanced degrees considered.


Compensation


Compensation for this position will be competitive and commensurate with skills and experience; compensation will include base salary, the possibility of earned stock options, paid vacation, health, dental, 401(k) and many other perks!
