Job Description:
We're seeking talented, dedicated, web-savvy professionals to maintain our Internet growth and help us stay on the leading edge, design new products / releases and maintain our dependable network, which delivers real-time stock quotes, financial and other time-sensitive market intelligence online and onto personal computers, laptop computers and portable handheld devices.
General Summary:
Using knowledge of the financial services industry, this position is responsible for managing product development initiatives to service the wealth management market. The position requires creating internal initiatives to source relevant content and applications, leveraging relationships with strategic partners/vendors and major clients, researching and creating specifications for functionality, leading technical projects and supporting sales efforts. The position is responsible for driving multiple and complex projects that involve both technology and content and insuring workable solutions. Using strong organization skills, knowledge of the business and initiative, the role requires being responsive to the Sales, Marketing, Technical and other departments throughout the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and provide feedback on content expansion, product functionality and industry trends for the professional marketplace. Define, prioritize and spec new functionality and project/product requirements.
Expand on current product and knowledge expertise in Wealth Management workflow, to develop it further across Fixed Income, Mutual Funds, ETFs and Annuity products.
Work across internal business units to aggregate content usage and leverage common development and deployment.
Work with technical teams to determine schedule and keep deliverables on track.
Organize and oversee product testing efforts by working with QA, Client Services and Sales. Coordinate external acceptance testing as well through focused beta tests and customer communication.
Support product marketing efforts by providing content to Marketing for the creation of the web site, documentation, training materials and other sales support materials.
Work closely with strategic partners, exchanges and customers, such as sell-side brokerages and content providers to explore opportunities that further enhance our products.
Promote products and enhanced functionality to internal users through ongoing communication and training.
Support sales in acquiring and implementing new business opportunities. This is essential in both pre and post sales environments. Includes participating in conference calls, occasional onsite customer visits as well as providing domain expert support to account managers and the customer alike.
Prepare presentations and documents that support the sales and service process.
Qualifications:
Required Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree
7 plus years experience in product/project management
Working knowledge of the financial markets. Real-time financial services data knowledge and experience in multiple areas to include several of the following: Equities, ETFs, Funds, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Energy, Commodities, News Content, Wealth Management and Discount Brokerage
Strong technical skills/knowledge, including knowledge of networks
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong presentation skills
The ability to be self-motivating, flexible and work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
