Drive optimization of the planning process and operational execution to efficiently and effectively satisfy customer demand, right product, right place, right time, and right cost; continually challenge the status quo seeking opportunity to improve input, process and output, measurably contributing to the Apparel and Corporate Revenue, Pre Tax Income, Days In Inventory and SKU productivity goals.

 


Demand Planning

«      Drive the vision and development of the Sales and Operational Planning Process encompassing the strategic and operational business plan and financial goals, sales plan by channel and account, product input by market segment to create a single collaborative rolling demand plan.

«      Proactively seek external and internal best practice, create benchmarks and measure accuracy of forecasts both through the seasonal planning process and to final net shipments.

«      Create an accurate seasonal demand plan at the style color size level and where necessary the toolset to support with an eye on our future SAP footprint.

«      Analyze and gain learning from accuracy across product groups segments, channels and categories and apply best practice, and continually strive to improve accuracy of forecast.

«      As the business grows develop a longer range higher level demand plan to drive capacity and factory planning.


 

Supply Planning

«      Drive the vision and development of a supply plan to leverage product lead time, factory capacity and inventory in the pipeline, postponing the timing of our final purchasing decision to increase visibility of sales orders, optimizing availability driving revenue, PTI and DII.

«      Optimize frequency of PO placement.

«      Develop a purchasing strategy by product type

Seek replenishment opportunity at both the account and factory level.

 

Purchase Order Execution and Management

«      Preparation of buy review and sign off pack, demand plan, orders, buy to orders, buy to forecast, buy to minimums, proposed buy, risks and opportunities.

«      Timely and accurate creation of Purchase Orders, resolving any capacity related issues and ensure production will meet needs of the demand plan.

«      Manage (inco) terms of purchase through the development and production teams

«      Drive visibility of factory production ensuring PO file presents an accurate view of the latest available information from factories

«      Seek opportunity to fine tune PO file to capture incremental sales order opportunity and reduce inventory positions

«      Manage PO placement where possible to reduce DII

«      Manage adjustments to sizes/colors as necessary with changes in demand.

«      Influence and drive the team to create and manage to seasonal sales order deadlines

 


Inventory Management

«      Proactively manage inventory through analysis, identifying inventory short and long positions, and drive to resolution.  Identify and communicate any residual impact.

«      Through analysis of margin %, ANSP, and order activity, determine the proper timing and method to work through inventory before the end of the season

«      Develop a life cycle management process to drive effective and efficient clearance through the season end.

«      Communicate with Sales and Account Management regarding unmatched customer orders and production.

«      Work with Account Management and warehouse personnel to resolve issues involving receipt of products

«      Ensure timely shipment and transit of purchase orders.


 


Calendar and Cadence Management

«      Proactively influence or take ownership of the seasonal calendar.

«      Drive cadence to calendar through a weekly operational meeting and develop exception reporting to swiftly and decisively deal with these exceptions to ensure success of the whole is not compromised.

  


Reporting, Analysis and Information

«      Drive integrated, automated, exception based, action driving reporting and information.

«      Develop, own, update SRI, sales, receipts, inventory report as a key supply chain tool

«      Develop and influence the metrics necessary to measure and improve input, process, output establishing benchmarks and targets based on internal and external perspectives to both provide stretch and challenge while ensuring achievement of goals.

«      Communicate performance against key metrics on a regular basis.


 

CFE and coaching

«      Drive CFE process through the team.

«      Coach and develop individuals to meet Corporate and individual goals.

«      Evolve bench strength within the team

«      Recruit class players with potential

 




Qualifications



10 years in a global supply chain/operational role encompassing planning, forecasting, purchasing, inventory management, with industry knowledge of best practice process and systems ideally in a fashion related business.  Ideally multi-continent and multi-cultural work experiences.

 

Technical:  SAP experience preferred.  

Good level of Microsoft package knowledge and application.

 

Industry Knowledge: Fashion, apparel, footwear, accessories

 

Industry Knowledge:  Solid understanding footwear, apparel or consumer good demand planning and lifecycle management.

 

Communicativeness:  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to communicate effectively across various management levels, and across multiple regional and geographic locals.  This includes day to day interaction with Liaison office personnel, domestic and international planners, Product Line Managers, Sales, R&D, Finance, Account Management, and the Warehouse.

 

Problem Solving and Decision Making - Judgment:  Strong ability to analyze data, and make planning decisions, taking into account cost, factory capacities and profiles, product delivery, etc.

 

Resource Efficiency/Multi-Tasking:  Must be able manage multiple tasks with changing and evolving priorities with tight timelines & ambiguous information.  Ability to learn & adapt quickly & effectively to changing business needs.  Ability to become creative with problem solving to achieve desired results.

 

Results Oriented: Must be results oriented toward business and personal development goals, including taking ownership and accountability for all job functions assigned, and driving towards established goals.  Feels sense of urgency to achieve timely results.
