This is a regular full-time position.

This individual is a highly motivated sales leader who drives business growth within a defined territory. Specifically:

Plans, organizes and directs the marketing and sales activities to meet the division's revenue and profit objectives.
Identifies and procures new business to include joint business partners.
Provides feedback to business and product line management regarding product roadmap ideas.
Develops and exploits current sales opportunities and identifies future market opportunities for new products or new customers.
Develops a business development team (direct and matrix) to achieve year-on-year sales targets.

DUTIES:

Interacts with business executives, division manager, key account managers and senior engineering/manufacturing personnel to formulate policies and objectives for the division's marketing and sales activities.

Ensures products are marketed and sold in accordance with budgeted objectives to obtain profitability and sales volume in relation to pre-set marketing and sales standards.

Initiates and maintains contact with potential and existing OEM and end-user customers and successfully negotiates sales under direction of division manager.

Develops and implements sales strategies to capture OEM and end-user accounts for medical imaging applications.

Identifies customer requirements. Provides technical advice and assistance and coordinates customer application support as required. May recommend modifications to Company products to enhance and improve quality and performance.

Develops and implements technical training programs for customers as needed.

Analyzes market data, trends and competitive product lines and recommends product modifications as well as pricing changes.

Oversees advertising and sales promotional literature. Reviews, edits and may prepare data sheets, brochures, press releases, catalogs and related materials.

Attends selected industry trade shows and technological conferences.

Prepares sales forecasts and participates in the determination of market potential. Reports on sales activities to the division management as required. Monitors performance against sales and profit objectives.

Interacts with Company personnel to ensure that customers' expectations are met on a consistent basis.

Advises management of any breakdown in communications or loss of sales contact or service and institutes corrective actions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

BS in a technical discipline, MBA preferred. Technical position in medical imaging or device space, 5-10 years of strategic account or sales management experience. Strong presentation skills, training in consultative selling and negotiation and experience in CRM and other productivity tools.
