Description:
This position exists to drive sales, increase brand awareness, and influence market share, mind-share for our client in a very tactical environment by building relationships at the store level and up.
Client/Store Visits, Associate Influence, Reporting
• Build and maintain long-term trusting relationships with client store associates, store management, and client management.
• Maintain consistent and highly visible presence in designated stores within territory:
• Travel within an assigned territory to visit retail stores assigned to that territory (approximately 50 to 100 stores).
• Overnight travel once per month (1-4 nights) within an assigned territory to visit retail stores assigned to that area (approximately 10 – 40 stores)
• Build relationships with store personnel
• Make contact with as many people within the store as possible
• Distribute sales/marketing literature and collateral
• Maintain a consistent store visit schedule and Merchandise product
• Ensure that CCS’ client’s products look the best on the shelf, that product is properly priced, that all signage and POP is compliant, and that displays are clean/have a proper appearance, appropriately positioned, priced and are compliant with display criteria.
• Routinely train retail sales associates:
• Ongoing training of client product and related details via talks/presentations to Retail Sales Persons (RSPs)
• Increase brand awareness, Build brand image
• Provide feedback on current retail market conditions as well as opportunities and issues that may affect the client’s business
• Provide written (daily, weekly and monthly) call reports and summaries with regards to store visits and related activities.
• Analyze sales and territory data to provide consultation and correction for underperforming markets.
• Administration – expense reports, travel requests
Required Experience:
• 2 years experience in related operations, currently in a territory manager or account manager or manufacturer's rep role for a high growth/fast paced company or several years in-store retail/customer service experience
• Previous Account Management experience desirable
• Undergraduate degree preferred, Marketing or business degree desirable.
• Proficient with Microsoft office, especially Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
• Up to 25% travel outside home market
