Description


 

CIBER is looking for a Help Desk II Specialist to provide Tier 1 technical support to end users via the phone and respond to web cases as assigned in a fast-paced contact center environment.

 

Primary Responsibility:

•         Ask concise and accurate questions to identify issues and provide solutions utilizing the knowledge base tool. 

•         Triage to appropriate queue as necessary and set user expectations on follow up.

•         Accurately document issues in call tracking database

•         Participate in after hours on call rotation

•         Assist / mentor Help Desk Level I agents

 

Experience: 

•         Minimum of 4-7 years of general IT support experience

•         Minimum of three years technical phone support experience in a Windows environment

•         Experience troubleshooting the following are requirements-  Windows 2000/XP, Hardware devices, networking  remote connectivity

•         Experience using a Call tracking system such as Siebel, Clarify, Remedy etc.

•         Experience troubleshooting the following are pluses- Lotus Notes 6 X, Novell, Citrix, VPN, Blackberry

Qualifications


 
Required Skills:

•         Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)

•         Professionalism, flexibility and customer focus

•         Typing requirement is 40 WPM, with 90% accuracy

 

Education:

•         Associates degree or technical school degree is preferred

•         HS diploma required.

•         A+, MCP, MCSE, CNE are desired certifications.
