SUMMARY OF POSITION:


Jenzabar is seeking a Software Engineer to join us in developing our next-generation Non-Traditional System (NTS) software application. Specifically designed to meet the needs of colleges and universities offering non-traditional courses, our NTS product is being developed using state-of-the-art technologies and software development methodologies. Jenzabar is seeking a unique individual with strong Java development skills to join our team and contribute in a fast-paced development environment. We want the candidate to be able to come in and start-off right away. As a member of our software development team you will be responsible for requirements gathering, design, development, customization, product integration and implementation.


QUALIFICATIONS:


Education:
Bachelors Degree in computer science, mathematics or electrical engineering.


Required Experience:
8+ years experience in commercial software development, strong knowledge of OO concepts, design patterns, and Java/J2EE. Server-side development experience with Java servlets, EJB, transaction management, web services, database design and SQL experience are mandatory. Excellent skills in designing and coding. Experience in Spring and Hibernate are pluses, as well as LDAP & Active Directory. Knowledge of application servers (JBoss, WebSphere, WebLogic, etc.) is highly desired.


Preferred Experience:
Skills in new technologies such as AJAX frameworks (OpenLaszlo, Flex 3, GWT). Unix and/or Linux experience.
