Due to rapid growth, we are seeking to hire an experienced Systems Infrastructure Support professional at our Marlborough, MA. Data center. This is for Capgemini's Hosting Practice, a division within Capgemini which out sources mission critical systems and support functions for our clients, hosting and managing the full lifecycle of large, crucial applications and infrastructures.

This position would be based out of our Marlborough, MA Data Center and would address the following shift:
Saturday /Sunday 12 hour days 7am to 7pm plus 2 -8 hour days during the week.
Responsibilities:
* Provide expertise in the operation and support of Microsoft NT and UNIX environments.
* Monitor batch production to ensure successful completion.
* Plan, implement, and communicate system and application migration and upgrades.
* Maintain comprehensive, timely, and accurate system logs and system reporting data.
* Generate status reports, problem reports and system logs and system reporting data.
* Observe and evaluate job, system and program performance.
* Conduct nightly backups on all systems.
* Monitor console messages.
* Monitor Network links.
* Adjust the configuration of operating system procedures.
* Maintain logs.
* Document procedures.
* Distributing reports.
* Provide assistance and support to other support groups in troubleshooting mainframe, network and communication problems.
* Supporting users over the phone with system support questions. Open, address, resolve, close Trouble Tickets.
* Import R/3 transports to appropriate systems.
* Answer the help desk phone.
* Provide PC support when necessary.
* Excellent verbal communication skills are required.
* Reliability is critical to this role.
