Job Description:


Software Quality Engineer


 


The Software Quality Engineer will develop test plans and procedures for verifying Doble’s software and hardware equipment.


 


Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


 


Follows department processes development of test plans


Responsible for developing time lines for their work


Provides project updates to project management


 


Identify potential product risks to the project team and/or project management


Develop and maintain test plans for functional and regression testing


Develop manual and automated test scripts with data-driven testing strategy


 


Trouble shooting test equipment problems


Generate documents for product release


Develop and maintain different Operating System configurations on virtual machines


 


Related duties as assigned


The ideal candidate has:


 


B.S. degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Electronics Engineering


Required 3+ years experience testing PC software applications


Experience with Elsinore Visual Intercept a plus


Experience with relays used in electric utilities a plus


Experience with IBM-Rational QA tool set a plus


Programming experience in VBA and VB.NET for developing test scripts


 


Familiar with test driven product development methodology


Ability to express ideas clearly in both written and oral communications


 


While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand for extended periods of time, bend, sit, walk, utilize oral and written communication to interact with co-workers, perform manual tasks which require arm strength and dexterity.
