Description

Homesite is a unique and innovative national property and casualty insurance company. Partnering with major players in the online insurance business, Homesite is carving out a position as a leading homeowners and renters insurance provider.

 

Due to tremendous growth at Homesite, we are seeking a Usability/User Experience Analyst to create and lead usability projects for our online sales and service platforms. In this role, you will:

·         drive projects with substantial revenue impact and/or cost savings

·         set the long term strategic vision for Homesite’s internet user experience

·         work with our key partners many of whom are industry leaders in the online insurance marketplace

·         create and implement projects with high visibility to Homesite’s executive team

 

 Responsibilities

    * Design and develop the user experience for Homesite’s consumer sales and servicing platforms
    * Lead onsite and offsite usability sessions
    * Create visual and written requirements
    * Work with business managers to identify specific customer communication needs and strategies, consult on appropriate deliverables, and maintain a high level of customer service
    * Maintain consistency across partnerships through adherence to/interpretation of Homesite or Partner’s style
    * Work with Homesite’s development team to implement solutions
    * Develop best practices for various Homesite “non-consumer” platforms
    * Design virtual materials for internet or other electronic distribution
    * Managing long term projects while meeting short-notice deadlines

 

Qualifications

    * 4+ years of relevant experience in web design and information architecture; experience with consumer websites and/or applications a plus
    * Experience in user experience testing and analysis
    * Degree in Psychology, Human Factors Engineering, or a related field a plus
    * Proficiency in a wireframe and/or graphics tool (such as Visio, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, or Dreamweaver)
    * Experience with agile methodologies a plus
    * Excellent organization skills
    * Strong verbal and written presentation skills (may ask for writing samples)
    * Energetic self starter who has the ability to work with minimal supervision
